Eating well is an essential part of managing PCOS and can improve your general health and wellbeing. This doesn’t mean dieting, but instead making long term changes to your eating habits which you can sustain for life. If your eating plan is not something you can stick to forever, if you don’t enjoy what you eat, if you are hungry all the time and if what you eat doesn’t fit in with your family and social life, you are unlikely to be successful.
At the PCOS Health and Nutrition Centre we have an accredited practicing dietitian with extensive experience and understanding in managing PCOS who can help you to develop an eating and activity plan to suit your needs and lifestyle. Kate can help you to set realistic and achievable goals to improve your PCOS symptoms, general health and to lose weight and keep it off for good!
Your first consultation with Kate will take about an hour and will begin with collecting information from you to allow her to assess your needs and to provide information and education relevant to your situation. She will then assist you in developing an eating plan to meet your individual needs as well as the information and ideas you need to put this into practice. A follow-up appointment will usually be arranged in 2-4 weeks time and then at regular intervals according to your needs.
