Kate Marsh

Dr Kate Marsh is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Credentialled Diabetes Educator, and the founder of the PCOS Health & Nutrition Centre. Kate graduated with a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Sydney in 1995 and went on to complete a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management at UTS, Sydney. She has recently compled her PhD at the University of Sydney with Professor Jennie Brand-Miller looking at the dietary management of insulin resistance in women with PCOS.
Kate has a particular interest in PCOS, having worked with hundreds of women with this condition over the past 10 years. Kate also co-chairs a PCOS interest group for dietitians and frequently speaks to both dietitians and women with PCOS on the dietary management of this condition. She is co-author of The Low GI Guide to Managing PCOS, The Low GI Vegetarian Cookbook and PCOS Made Easy and writes regularly for a number of publications including Diabetic Living Magazine, Healthy Food Guide and Nature & Health. Kate is also a member of the editorial board for Diabetes Management Journal and the Australian Diabetes Educators Magazine, is a board member of Diabetes Counselling Online and is a member of the PCOS Alliance which is currently working on developing best practice guidelines for the managment of PCOS. Kate is a recipient of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) Young Achievers Award and was a NSW finalist in the 2006 Telstra Business Women's Awards.
Julie Mastrodomenico

Julie Mastrodomenico is a Clinical Psychologist who has been working in a counseling role for more than seven years. She has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Sydney.
Julie has a particular interest in helping people who are experiencing difficulties due to anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, grief, and women dealing with the physical and emotional consequences of PCOS. She works along side clients using Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, which are specifically tailored to the needs of each client, assisting them to cope and respond to their current challenges in more adaptive ways.
Melissa Maimann
Melissa Maimann is a Pregnancy and Birth Consultant with an undergraduate degree in nursing and a Graduate Diploma in Midwifery. She has also recently completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Melissa’s midwifery experience spans several years and has seen her working with many doctors in most hospitals throughout Sydney. She has experience in private and public hospitals, birth centres, delivery suite, postnatal (hospital and home), operating theatres, antenatal wards and clinics, as well as neonatal nurseries. This extensive experience helps her to understand and respond to your individual needs. Melissa maintains close contact with maternity services and has an up-to-date database of birth-related journal articles. She can readily locate a vast range of pregnancy- and childbirth-related information. Melissa is not contracted to any health service or doctor, and consequently, she is uniquely placed to provide you with information and advice that is complete, impartial, unbiased and specific to your needs.
Melissa has an interest in PCOS and understands the effects that this condition can have on your preconception, pregnancy and birth experience. As a member of the PCOS Health & Nutrition team, she can improve the experiences of women with PCOS who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
